      The Dayton Thanksgiving tradition continues virtually in 2020 featuring the Thankful Turkey Half Marathon, 10K & 5K gear. Run the distance on your own or with your family and friends on a date and route of your choosing.

      Here’s how it works:

      1.Register to secure your spot.

      2. Get your commemorative event gear mailed straight to your door. 

      3. Run/Walk the distance between Thanksgiving Day – November 29th. Feel free to use your favorite tracking app or watch to help keep track of your time and distance.

      4. Submit your results to the leader board, print off your finisher certificate and share (brag!) with your friends using this year’s selfie smile medal.

        What date do I complete my race?
        You can run the Turkey Trot Half Marathon, 10K & 5K any day between Thanksgiving Day – November 28th.

        How do I print my bib?

        How do I print out my finisher certificate?
        Congratulations on conquering the The Turkey Trot Half Marathon, 10K & 5K! After you submit your results, there is a button in the top right corner that says “Certificate.”

        What type of material is the Turkey Trot shirt?

        When do I need to submit results by?
        You can submit results anytime between Thanksgiving Day – November 29th.

        We are excited to announce that the Nashville Turkey Trot has come together with Thanksgiving runs from around the nation to from a multi city running festival called the American Turkey Tradition. Now, in addition to running with everyone at your local event you will be able to come together with runners from around the country in the World’s Largest Thanksgiving running festival:

        Parking:
        On-site parking. Restricted exit until 9:30 a.m. due to runners on crosswalk.

        Finisher medal earned for all finishers.

        Awards will be awarded to the top 3 participants, male and female in each age group and overall.
        Participant must be present on event day to receive medal.

        Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 & 70+

        Kids Dash finisher award to all participants.

        If you do not pick up your medal there will be a $5 fee to have it mailed to you: Post race medal request registration.

        Join in the excitement as a volunteer. All volunteers receive a free event shirt for volunteering. Volunteers will help at water stations, participant check-in, course marshaling and many other places.

        If you can’t find your volunteer confirmation e-mail, which is sent 2 weeks prior to the event, please contact us at 224-757-5425 or the e-mail address below. Or simply meet at the volunteer check-in located at the start/finish line on event day at 7:00 a.m.

      • CONTACT US AND FAQS

        Need help with your registration? Race Transfer? Change your t-shirt size? Bib exchange? etc. Click here.

        This event is chip timed. Your “chip” is integrated with your bib. You must wear your bib on your front across your stomach to be electronically timed. 

        Runners and walkers can participate in this event as long as the participant can finish within the event time limit, see the schedule above.

        All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form.

        Like most live sporting events, this ticket/registration is non-refundable.

        Water stations include water and sports drink.

        It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear, see, sense, and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.

        If you ordered your race packet to be mailed to you, it will typically arrive 1-4 days before the event. It will be sent to the address you entered during registration. If your package does not arrive before the event day, please come to event day packet pick up where you will be re-assigned your bib and gear.

        Participant gear must be picked up at pre-event packet pick up or on the event day. If you do not pick up your participant gear there will be a fee to have it mailed to you: Post-race event gear registration

        If at any time you are in need of assistance throughout the event please notify a volunteer or course monitor.

        No dogs. Strollers are allowed for walkers & joggers only, must start in the back of the starting corral and the parent/guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of their child(ren) in the stroller.

        The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions.  The above schedule is weather dependent.  Trail conditions could be variable.

        You can transfer to a different distance within the same race up to 3 days before the event. If you are transferring to a more expensive race you’ll have to pay the difference of the registration fees.

        You can transfer your registration/bib # to another participant for $6 up to 3 days before the event.

        You can defer your registration to next year’s race or any other TennesseeRuns.com’s race for $6 up to 17 days before the event. After that, you can still defer for $15 until the day prior to packet pick up. All deferment requests must be sent via e-mail and please include your name, the event your currently in and which event you would like to defer into.

        You can manage your event shirt size and any other add-ons up to 10 days before the event.

      At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

      Both courses start and finish on the Welcome Stadium Track and then run on streets and paved paths along the Dayton riverfront.

      1601 S. Edwin C Moses Blvd.
      Dayton, OH 45417

      PARKING:
      On-site parking available at the stadium. Due to Edwin C. Moses Blvd. being part of the course route. This road will close down approximately 15 minutes before the race begins. Please arrive before then.

      If you do not pick up your medal there will be a $5 fee to have it mailed to you: Post race medal request registration.

    • PACERS

      There will be pacers to help you achieve your goal time.  Pacers will be at the start holding a sign of the pace they will be consistently running. Run with these pacers and they will help keep you on track to achieve your goal. That’s right, these pacers are dedicated to helping lead you to one of the goal times listed below:

      Join the fun as a volunteer. All volunteers receive a free event shirt. Volunteers can help with water stations, course marshaling, registration or similar

      Need help with your registration? Race Transfer? Change your t-shirt size? Bib exchange? etc. Click here.

      This event is chip timed. Your “chip” is integrated with your bib. You must wear your bib on your front across your stomach to be electronically timed. 

      Runners and walkers can participate in this event as long as the participant can finish within the event time limit, see the schedule above.

      All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form.

      It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear, see, sense, and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.

      If at any time you are in need of assistance throughout the event please notify a volunteer or course monitor.

      Half marathon aid stations will have water and sports drink.

      If you ordered your race packet to be mailed to you, it will typically arrive 1-4 days before the event. It will be sent to the address you entered during registration. If your package does not arrive before the event day, please come to event day packet pick up where you will be re-assigned your bib and gear.

      Participant gear must be picked up at pre-event packet pick up or on the event day. If you do not pick up your participant gear there will be a fee to have it mailed to you: Post-race event gear registration

      No dogs. Strollers are allowed for walkers only after all other runners and walkers have started. Children in strollers must be wearing helmets.

      The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions.  The above schedule is weather dependent.  Trail conditions could be variable.

      You can transfer to a different distance within the same race up to 3 days before the event. If you are transferring to a more expensive race you’ll have to pay the difference of the registration fees.

      You can transfer your registration/bib # to another participant for $6 up to 3 days before the event.

      You can defer your registration to next year’s race or any other OhioRuns.com’s race for $6 up to 17 days before the event. After that, you can still defer for $15 until the day prior to packet pick up. Please send us an e-mail to request a deferment.

      You can manage your event shirt size and any other add-ons up to 10 days before the event.
